23 June 2025: The Group Information Technology Division of MARA Corporation successfully organised the Cybersecurity Awareness Program, attended by approximately 80 staff members from subsidiaries across the MARA Corporation Group.

The program was officiated by YBrs. Encik Yahaya bin Sani, Group Chief Executive Officer of MARA Corporation, also delivered his remarks on the importance of cybersecurity in safeguarding the organisation’s data, systems, and reputation.

Key sharing sessions were delivered by Ts. Ahmad Kamal bin Hasan Basri, Senior Vice President, Group Information Technology, MARA Corporation; and Dr. Shafiza binti Mohd Shariff, Deputy Dean of Academic and Technology at Malaysian Institute Information Technology (MIIT) and Senior Lecturer at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL).

Spanning nearly four hours, the program covered crucial topics such as phishing, malware, and social engineering threats, password safety, data protection, preventive techniques, live simulations, and practical response strategies. This initiative aligns with MARA Corporation’s Cybersecurity Risk Action Plan and the MARA Quality System (MQS), reinforcing the Group’s commitment to strong digital governance and secure information practices across the organisation.
